Adelaide Oval Redevelopment

In February 2011, Sawley Lock O’Callaghan won the contract to provide surveying services to the high profile iconic Adelaide Oval Redevelopment project.

The delivery of this project will see the construction of a 50,000 seat venue to enable AFL football to be played at this prestigious venue.

The survey has required a wide variety of complex and specialized survey and spatial services to meet the critical and stringent design parameters necessary to ensure a redevelopment in sympathy with the parklands precinct.

The project has involved collaboration with Lester Franks Survey & Geographic in the delivery of 3 dimensional laser scan modelling of key structures, including the Heritage Scoreboard, St Peters Cathedral, Victor Richardson Gates and Memorial Drive Tennis Centre.

Some 40,000 points were acquired during the topographic survey along with literally millions of points obtained in the laser scanning process.
